History:
I have been involved in digital media since 1997 when he started building websites with a copy of HTML for Dummies. I joined the Huddersfield Examiner classified advertising department in search of a career in journalism.

In 2001 I moved up to the editorial floor and became content developer for the Huddersfield Examiner's website during Trinity Mirror's development and national rollout of their 'New Media' platform - the icNetwork.

In 2001 I became Editor of the Examiner's lifestyle magazine and spent three years writing, editing, photographing and designing, also working on leisure guides and promotional material.

In 2005 the magazine closed so I set up an art business, curating a successful fringe exhibition in Holmfirth Artweek and shortly moved into video production.

Most recent role

I joined West Yorkshire Sport in 2006, job-sharing the Communication and Events role. I became Communications Manager for both West Yorkshire Sport and South Yorkshire Sport and both organisations became Yorkshire Sport Foundation in 2016.

For 20 years I led the development of websites, social media, press releases, design and print publications, and brand management.

In 2014 I worked with Bradford MDC on Tour de Yorkshire comms.

I also sat on the Active Partnership National Organisation’s Marcomms steering group, representing Yorkshire and sharing best practice.
